Your questions part 2

By CCee · October 4, 2009 · 11 Comments · 69 Views

Hi everyone,

On April 21st this year I did a blog called I'm not expecting anything in this blog I gave you guys the oppertunity to ask me (almost) anything. Some of you really liked this, so for fall I thought I'd do one again. I'm not expecting any huge response to this... but hey, maybe you are still dying to ask me something.

I won't tell you where I live, but other then that I don't think there are many questions I will not answer, so knock yourself out, ask me what I just drank (Coca Cola), last song I listened to (Jordin Sparks, Battlefield), last tv-show I watched (Life), last movie I saw (He's just not that into you), last magazine I read (Allure, US), last book I read (Stephenie Meyer, Twilight, New Moon), last youtube video I watched Mario Dedivanovic and Kim Kardashian Makeup Video (part 2), last CD I bought (pre-order Robbie Williams, Reality killed the video star, last movie I saw in the theatre Angels & Demons or Harry Potter, last jeans I bought (4Wards), last shirt I bought (H&M 100% cotton), last shoes I bought (Leather Platform Steve Madden boots and ASOS Phoebe Lace shoes).

So ask me (almost) anything... (no math questions please ;) )

Illamasqua brushes

Hi everyone,

I got these brushes about a month ago, they're seriously amazing.

From the Illamasqua site:
"Illamasqua's range of brushes have been designed with the help of expert make-up artists to maximise the effect that can be created with our unique formulas and colour-true pigments. Using the latest technology, our advanced synthetic bristles not only give flawless application, they are hypo-allergenic and safe for all skin types. Each brush features a unique neck, which complements the individual brush head, holding the bristles in perfect place. Plus the long, tapered handle is sculpted to fit ergonomically and comfortably in the hand. They use no animal products and are completely cruelty-free."

The Blending Brush no. 1 is supposed to be similar to the MAC 224 brush (according to Marlena MakeupGeek).
I honestly don't know whether it's like the MAC one or not, I can tell you however that it's AMAZING. I had a crease that needed blending this week and I was trying to blend it with the Smashbox crease brush but that was too fluffy, the Sephora one was to pointy, the Urban Decay one was to small, and this one was perfect. So in size it's perfect for my eyes (even though it does look like a normal blending brush). The hairs don't shed!! And the weight of the brush and the length of the handle are fantastic. I have to admit that I LOVE this brush.

The other brush I got is the Highlighter Brush, this brush is a bigger short dome brush which is meant for highlighting on the cheekbones. I use it mostly for applying translucent powder under my eyes if I want a dewy look on the rest of my skin. I also use it to contour (more control over the application) and if I want an extra pop of colour on the apples of my cheeks.
Again this brush doesn't shed at all, it's got a great weight, the bristles are a perfect length and density and the handle is perfect. If I could, I'd buy all the brushes from Illamasqua right now because I NEED them all.

What brushes can't you live without?

Bright eye and a huge thank you

Hi everyone,

To show you guys I missed you and appreciate all of you for coming over here and watching my "art" and reading my blog I made a very bright eye.
I used the MAKE UP FOR EVER Flash palette as a cream colour base and mostly Urban Decay DeLuxe colours (one of the colours is a GOSH colour) as the brights. The eyeliners are all Urban Decay.
My foundation and concealer are by MAKE UP FOR EVER.

Because I've been hooked on droplets of water lately I spashed a little water on my face which made the next picture look even more amazing if you ask me.

Do you like these "unwearable" looks??

Traincase by Sephora

By CCee · October 4, 2009 · 9 Comments · 78 Views

Hi everyone,

About a month ago I noticed that when I did looks on friends I had to take two bags to bring all the makeup and brushes I needed (I can't ever decide on a look before I see the mood they're in so I need to bring almost everything). So I went to the Sephora to buy a small traincase, now off course I didn't buy the small one, I bought the pretty big one, and still not half of my stash fits in it. None of the large palettes can fit in there, and I kinda hate the top of the case (I noticed that when using I can't actually change the size of the lower trays and I can change the size of the top tray). But I do love the fact that I can throw many things in there when I'm not staying or doing the makeup at home.

Bottom of the traincase contains (from the left top compartment to the right then down left to right then bottom left to right):
1) Jemma Kidd Palettes, Make Up For Ever loose powder and mini pencils and Shu Uemura eyelash curler
2) Chanel Bronzer, Smashbox concealers, brightners and primers.
3) Bourjois eyecolours and new unused pencils.
4) 2 (NEW) Make Up For Ever foundations, Smashbox Hybrid Primer, 2 (NEW) Make Up For Ever concealers, YSL primer, MUFE Primer, Laura Mercier Primer and tinted moisturizer.
5) All the lipgloss tubes that fit in there (Urban Decay, Stila, Smashbox, Rimmel, L'Oreal etc)
6) L'Oreal powder foundation and Benefit mini palettes

Lower tray of the traincase contains (left tray up to down then right tray up to down)
1) Laura Mercier Eyelashcurler and Urban Decay pencil sharpener
2) Laura Mercier concealer pot
3) Illamasqua pigment and Smashbox O-glow
4) L'Oreal eyeshadow and Unknown brand red blusher
5) Unknown brand highlighter, Clinique cream eyeshadow and Smashbox O-gloss

1) Smashbox shadows and Sephora lipbalm
2 & 3) Smashbox duo shadows
4) Laura Geller lipscrub and Bourjois lipbalm
5) mini mascaras

Top tray of the traincase contains (left tray up to down then right tray up to down)
1) Urban Decay shadows and Sephora matte shadows
2) Laura Mercier testers and Clinique potted cream eyeliner
3) Stila Smudge Pot, Rimmel matte black eyeshadow, Make Up For Ever HD powder
4) Urban Decay shadows
5) Urban Decay DeLuxe shadows
6) Urban Decay liner and Make Up For Ever shadow

1) Urban Decay lipsticks
2) Urban Decay mini primers
3) Mascaras (Dior, Rimmel, Make Up For Ever, Pencils, Laura Mercier travel brushes

Bermuda Breakaway with 2NITE

By CCee · October 4, 2009 · 15 Comments · 94 Views

Hi everyone,

This is a manicure I had on about a week ago, I did take a picture but never had time to upload it. So here it is now.

It's three coats of China Glaze - Bernuda Breakaway and for the Konad top I used China Glaze 2NITE which is a light blue holographic polish.
I did use 2 coats of NailTek Foundation under it to prevent it from staining like the Calypso Blue did, but it didn't help. When I took off the nailpolish my nails were (and are) stained yellow :( (not a pretty look).
The manicure did get a lot of compliments though....
