Hi everyone,
Well, I think most of you know I've been gone for about a month now and I'd planned on coming back two weeks ago. Honestly I can't go into details, but when I thought the worst had passed, even more bad things where waiting just around the corner to knock me down again. I'm now thinking I have to not look back and move on.
So here's the plan, I'm going to tell you what I remember of the looks I teased you about before and then move on to new looks, challenges and fresh idea's.
For this eye I used Urban Decay DeLuxe Eyeshadows in Honey, Heat and Sting.
For this eye I used neutral eyemakeup and a black eyeline (Smashbox JetSet in Midnight black) and Essence party lashes. Essence is available in most European countries, see http://www.essence.eu/ for the official website.
This is again a neutral eye but the point in taking this picture is using the Sephora Lash stash mascara to show you how it looks on the lashes. This is after one coat of Vincent Longo The Curl Mascara. For more info on the Lash Stash click here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P223220&searchString=lash%20stash# .
The J.Lo Challenge will be the next post I do and then all new things will come.

Purrrrrr
Hi everyone,
I did this great cat eye today for Kikidawn, I hope you like it girl. If you don't do the hairline and the brows it's a great daring look and if you take away the black line under the eye it's a great cat-eye for day.
I used a dark red, brown and gold, so no green or purple (because that's not catlike to me, if you want you can change up the colours) but with your eyes (green and brown hazel with gold flecks and just a thin ring of blue around them) I think this will look very pretty.
Another thing I did was film it, I was annoyed because I actually walk around a lot when doing my makeup and now I had to stay put. Because I filmed it I didn't take pictures in between, but halfway through my battery died and I didn't notice so it was all in vain. :(
So here is the final look:

Face
When I started on this eye I used Photo Finish as a primer to prevent the makeup moving later on. As a base for the eyeshadow I used Eyeshadow Primer Potion.
As a foundation I used Magic Wand Foundation because it's light and yellow based. As a powder to set everything (except the eyes) I used High Definition Powder with a Mineral Powder Brush.
Eyes
I made the eyes lighter all around the eyelid to lighten it even more then a concealer and/or shadow could by using the white from the Noir & Blanc pencil by Bourjois. I set this white with the white from the Panorama trio with an all over shadow brush.
To see how the eyeshadow will look on the face later on, I did the brows now. I used a slanted brush with Perversion to make my brows black and I even drew it further inward. I then took the Zero pencil to darken the inner point and draw where I want the eyebrow to have it's "furry look". I used the Smudge Brush to blend the inner corner into the brow. I then used Talika Eyebrow Extender in Black all over my brows, so make them seem more furry and black. With this gadget I also made my brows look thicker and "made" some more brow hairs.
I took up the Stila, Smudge Pot in black and used the 21 Arced liner brush to blacken my waterline and the pointed eyeliner brush to make the furry brows look neater and I started to draw the inner corner point as near to the lash line as possible. I made the outer wing and I went over it again with the no. 21 brush to make the line a little thicker. I also drew the lines under my eyes.
Over the eyeliner I took some Roach with the no. 26 shadow brush and took it into the inner corner with the no. 15 definer brush. At this point I took the Honey shadow do dust a little (with the 26 brush) on the centre of my eyelid and under the line under my eye. I then took Heat on the other wing of the roach near the brow and made the line here a little more red.
I used the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Honey (yes I did buy it after I missed it so much last week), and made the outer corners of the black line under my eyes a little golden.
At this point, if you only look at the eye, it looks like this:
I used more of the honey pencil to draw "fur" from my hairline inward. I went over this creating hairs in different colours with the pencils Lucky, 1999, Bourbon, Stash, Yeyo, Zero and the white Bourjois again.
The Yeyo pencil is a great shiny white sheen which I used over the white between the lines under my eyes and under my brow for a little extra kick.
I curled my lashes and used Diorshow as my mascara, moving the mascara wand outward only to create even more catlike eyes because this makes the lashes bend a little that way.
At this point I did my hair in a ponytail and used the ends all scrunched with wax and bobby pins as a furry ring around the hairline.

I hope you like it!

Red eye tutorial for the brave ;) (September 8, 2008)
I felt like doing something daring today... and came up with a look that had red eye makeup, red lips and red nails... only syncing lips and nails is trendy this fall, but I thought adding the eye would be cool. I like it, I hope you do too.
Here's a quick tip for all of you makeup lovers. I know some women who do one eye first and then the other, it's hell to get the eyes look the same if you do it this way. I always do every step on both eyes... make sure they're the same, and then I have both eyes equal when I'm done, because every layer on the eye was done to match the other eye.

Preparation
As usual I started my morning with cleansing cusions. I then used a tester of Aquacourse (which smells divine btw) and used Repairwear on my eyes. I also used the immediate wrinkle filler before foundation etc.

Face
Starting my make-up with Clear Photo Finish Primer has become the most natural thing to me that really adds longevity to my foundation and sculpting. I used High Def Foundation with the Travel Foundation Brush to ensure a perfect and blended foundation. From there on I took the Mineral Powder Brush no. 45 and used Super Matte Loose Powder to set the foundation all over. I didn't use any concealer so far because it wasn't needed. I used the Bronze from the Pressed Powder/Bronze Lights Duo to sculpt under my cheekbones and on my jawline because this product isn't shimmery and is almost exactly my skins shadow tone. For sculpting I used the Half Moon Brush today because my baby buki brush is still wet from cleaning. I patted some Diorshow powder on my temples to make my face look thinner.
I placed Eyeshadow Primer Potion on my eyes using my fingers.

Eye
After applying foundation and primer potion I took a picture to show you what I'm working on.
I did use a little Concealer with the no. 4 concealer brush under my eyebrow at this moment and around my lips to lighten this area a little. To lighten under my eyebrow even more I packed the All Over Shadow brush with the lightest colour of the Shutterspeed and patted that under my eyebrows, blending it down.
For the red colour I used Rosewood, this is a satin finish colour and using the Large Eyeshadow Brush no. 8 I placed it on my eyelid only, not blending the colour anywhere.
Using the flat brush for this and patting in the colour means you get a more intense colour on your eyelid.
I used the bottom right colour from the Jeu de Nuit which is a brown/grey colour with also a satin finish. If you look closely at the red eyeshadow you see the dark-tones of the red are similar to the grey/brown.
I used the Definer brush to place the colour in my crease (starting on the outside colour because your brush gives the most colour where you place your brush first). Here is a picture of the colour unblended to show you the placement:

Using a clean Crease Brush no. 10 to blend the dark up and out.

I used Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner in Midnight Black with the Arced Liner Brush no. 21 on my top waterline. I also placed a little colour on the lower waterline in the corner very thinly. To finish the eye I curled my eyelashes and gave my lashes a thick coat of Diorshow. I love this mascara, I always have, it makes my lashes look amazing!

Lips
Around my lips I already placed a thin line of Creme Eyeliner pencil and blended this out. On my lips I used Lasting finish lipstick in 124 Bordeaux straight out of the tube for a thick layer of colour.
I then used the red colour from the Totally fab lip gloss collection on the centre of my lips (so no gloss in the corners).

Nails
After cleaning my nails I added a coat of Nail Envy as a base on my nails and let it dry. I then used two coats of the Bourjois colour and another colour of Nail Envy as a topcoat.

My sunny summer look (Sunday August 3, 2008)
I like the fact that many more colours can be used this summer, so here is my sunny summer look. Tip, don't wear it after a bad night's sleep.

(Yes, I plucked my eyebrows a little more on the top and the lashes and iris-colour is fake)
I first used Too Faced Magic Wand Foundation in New York Light. This foundation is great, because you can take it with you because of the bottle shape it will never leak or make a mess. It also has a built in brush, so no worries about bringing a brush either. It conceals slightly if you give something two layers, if you use one layer it just gives you a nice pretty glow and light coverage.
For a concealer to hide my dark circles but not go into small lines or look like concealer I use Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch Highlighter) in the lightest colour. The Touche Eclat is not meant as a concealer, so if you have blue-tinted circles, use a normal concealer and use the Touche Eclat as a highlighter.
Next I used Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion on my eyelid to keep my colour where I put it.
I started with Benefit cosmetics - HighBrow pencil to highlight my brow bones.
Because I like giving these colours a pop, I use a colour cream under the final colours. I used Sephora Brand Colorful Duo Eyeshadow - Cream & Powder, the cream in rich gold (from the Copper Harmony 02 duo) under the yellow in the corner of my eye and from Sephora an orangy cream blush (they don't sell it anymore) on the outer corner. I used my fingers to smudge the colours together in the middle keeping the colour under my crease.
I then took my Sephora Brand Professionnel All Over Shadow Small Brush (#23) to put the Honey by Urban Decay (Deluxe Eyeshadow - colour is glistening gold Item # 893131) in the corner of my eyelid until just above the crease and up to the middle of my eye. Also doing the bottom lash in the corner only. Using Barry M's Dazzle Dust in Red (#dd73) I gave the outer corner of my eye a touch of red (with the same brush, also doing a very small bit of my lower lash line). At the middle of my eyelid I let the colours "hit" each other. Finally I then went over the place where the colours hit each other with my Sephora Brand Medium Rounded Crease Brush using a circular motion to blend the colours into a nice orange colour. When happy with the colours I gave the waterline a coat of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero (zealous black Item # 44470) and then closed my eyes really hard to make the colour go even more into the roots of my eyelashes (trick used by Kevyn Aucoin).
I finished my eye with one coat of Too Faced Lash Injection in Pitch Black on only my top lashes.
Hopefully you like what I did as a sunny eye. Most men think it's too much, women have only given me compliments so far.
Tell me what you think.
