Hi everyone,
I just found out that these matte nailpolishes don't stay matte all that long, at least not around the edges. The colour I'm wearing here is by OPI called You Don't Know Jacques Matte. This is a matte version of the You Don't Know Jacques from the French Collection. There is also a Suede version of this polish which is very cute.
On these pictures I'm wearing 2 coats of You Don't Know Jacques Matte and a white feauxnad apple (with a white Konad polish).

Hi everyone,
I recently imported the OPI Matte and the OPI Suede Collections and I had to try this We'll Always Have Paris colour immediately. These collections both contain famous OPI colours only now in matte and suede finishes. The Suede finish has a silver matte foil like texture in the formulation which makes it look very pretty and not as flat as the mattes.
We'll Always have Paris is originally from La Collection de France (fall/winter 2008) even though the colour is NOTHING like the original. It's not a dark burgendy colour, it's more of a soft rose purple pinkish colour with a matte silver foil shimmer in it.
I made a glossy "French Tip" (with Nail Tek - Foundation II (intensive therapy) ) to make you see how it looks if you do wear this polish with a topcoat (that kills the Suede finish, but leaves an extremely pretty glossy polish).

Hi everyone,
If I ever have to advise anyone on a bride(smaid) polish colour, this would be it. I used NailTek Ridge Filling Foundation as a basecoat and then 2 coats of OPI Stars in my Eyes followed by one more coat of NailTek Ridge Filling Foundation to make it matte.
This polish does take very LONG to dry (look at my pinky nail's damage which is after one hour drying time and then flipping a magazine and the page blew back in the wind), but the pictures I took after 2 days, a shower and a bath. Soooo it does stay on very well, once it finally dries.
This polish is a shimmery silver that's very see through, the matte base and topcoat actually make it less see through. I did want it to be slightly see through though so that's why I only used 2 coats. I keep thinking of brides and weddings wearing this polish....

Hi everyone,
This famous nailpolish is my latest addition to my collection and it's not what I imagined and it's more. I thought the holographics would be more apparent, but on the other hand this was very pretty as it was.
Another thing I tried out, was using Nail Tek Ridge filling foundation as a topcoat to create a matte finish. The mattes aren't sold anywhere near me yet and I wanted it sooo bad with this polish, that I tried something and the finished nails are at the bottom of the post.

Sooo tell me, is this a good "matte" polish? And do you have tricks like this to get a finish you want?
