Emma Watson look from Harry Potter Premiere 07-07-2009

Hi everyone,

A while ago I already told you I was planning to do the look Emma Watson was wearing on the Harry Potter Premiere 07-07-2009:

I did the look this Friday and I made a full tutorial out of it for you. Starting with the eye we're going for: . As you can see it's slightly golden in the inner corner going to a more rose golden brown on the outer corner and a shimmery silver on the lower lash line.Of course her picture was taken in summer when the light was more yellow and mine in fall when it's all grey outside.
The finished eye:

All good makeup starts with a good base. I started with a tester by SkinCeuticals called Prevent Serum 10 AOX+ this neutralizes free radicals, defends against environmental damage, and helps prevent premature signs of aging. I've had this mini bottle for a while but never used it because it smells really badly. But today I chose to use it because I thought: "Medicine is supposed to taste badly, maybe this smells horrible but works wonders." And it really is amazing, my skin is soft but also I have a healthy glow again and a few scars I have are lessening.... so I'm really loving this :D .
As a moisturizer I'm using my Shiseido's The Skincare Range's Day Moisture Protection SPF 15 (at night I use their Night Moisture Recharge Light) and the eye cream I'm using is Elizabeth Arden's PREVAGE® Eye Anti-aging Moisturizing Treatment.

I'm using Talika - Lipocils again because my lashes are growing shorter and shorter by the day, I don't know if it's the weather, stress or the Rimmel mascara I'm using lately, but they need some extra care. At the moment I look like this:

I recently acquired the Beauty Blender. I have a love-hate relationship with this thing. I love how easy it is to apply makeup with it, but it eats makeup and it's hell to clean. To use a Beauty Blender you dampen it (under a faucet and then you squeeze all the excess water out with (first without and then with a towel).

Another "new" thing is the Make Up For Ever HD Primer in 00 Neutral and Foundations I got about 3 weeks ago. I finally emptied my Smashbox - Healthy FX HD foundation in L3 and I wanted the MUFE foundation for over 6 months. But in the stores here they don't have the perfect shade for me. Soooo I got the 140 Soft beige (slightly too light but perfect for the middle and end of winter) and the 155 Medium beige (too dark but perfect for the hight of summer). Both foundations together create a perfect colour for me right now. I do have a tendency to use the 140 in the centre of my face and the 155 to contour with when I'm going out. The finish I get is amazing, especially on camera :D .

The MUFE lift concealer is also something that I had trouble with finding my colour, the 3 Neutral Beige (on the left) is too yellow and the no. 1 Pink beige is too light. The no. 2 was too dark and looked horrible on my skin, so again I mix these two to get the amazing colour I need. I sometimes use more of the no. 1 on the inner corners and more of the no. 3 on the outer corners.... but basically it all depends on how my circles are appearing that day.
My makeup looks like this at the moment:
As you can see the concealer does have a tendency to crease if you don't set it immediately. Today it's also a little too light for some reason but I found a solution for that, by using the Undercover Pot in no. 3 by Laura Mercier. In this pot contains a Secret Camouflage (which works perfectly around my nose) and an Secret Concealer for under your eyes which, when you use a little amount, makes the concealer under my eyes look perfect when I use it over the MUFE concealer. I usually set this with the translucent powder also in this pot and the Laura Mercier Camouflage Powder Brush but I just cleaned it and it's drying so I'm using the velours puff by Laura Mercier. . Now this sounds like a lot, and it can be, if you use loads of product, the key to a "natural" look is layering thin layers to create the perfect canvas. So no plastering your skin away. It's all little bits that create a flawless look.

Because as you can see in the picture of Emma, she has amazing cheekbones, but also much contouring going on. To achieve sort of the same look on me, I use Smashbox which is this colour: I apply the blush (first on the apples of my cheeks) and then because this contouring product is a powder I powder the rest of my face first (with the Translucent Laura Mercier powder and Velours puff again) and then I use my Illamasqua - Highlighting brush to contour. I use this brush because it's PERFECT for this kind of thing. It places the colour where you need most depth and then you blend with what's left on the brush and the end result is superb.

I really love the Urban Decay DeLuxe Shadow Box and I use it more then any other palette I own. I have most of these colours as singles as well simply because that's easier to bring with me if I'm staying over at a friend's house. (I have singles of Fishnet, Honey, Heat, Sting, Graffiti and Adore).

The colours I'm using for this look are Shag, Honey and Scratch. I started with my Primer Potion and then used Shag the slight goldeney neutral which I applied with my Smashbox - no. 15 Definer brush. I placed the colour mostly on the inner 1/3 and then blended over to halfway down my lid. To make the colour slightly more golden I used Honey over this. You might ask why not take a more golden tint, well the answer is that I need the makeup to stay bright for long and these DeLuxe colours really keep their pigmentation through the day and night. Also it's more subtle then a gold if you combine Shag and Honey. My eye now looks like this:

I used Scratch on the outer 1/3 of my lid and then blended it into the rest of the colours already on there. This colour is a pinkish champagne colour and you really don't see the actual colour on the picture properly.

To darken the crease somewhat to create depth and add some extra warmth to the look I took up my Smashbox which is still available in the Smashbox - Runway Glam Kit if you open the Shadow and Liner palette you find three cream eyeliners and 4 eyeshadows: I used the shadow most to the left on the top part of the palette. It's a copper colour which I applied with my "new" Illamasqua - Blending Brush 1. My eye now looks like this: .

I've been loving the Illamasqua products I have and that's why I didn't use a silver under my eyes but a silvery green. I HAD to use Illamasqua - Pure Pigment in Lust. As you can see the lid has a "stopper" which keeps the pigment from becoming a mess if you travel with it and I have brought this with me almost everywhere for over a month now so it's doing it's job as you can see.

The mascara I'm using is from the Sephora Lash Stash brought out last year. This year there is one out as well, but this mascara is not included in the current lash stash.

My eyes now look like this, almost done:

All I wanted to add was a little extra brightness in the inner corner and on the waterline. I used L23 Champagne from Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes.
Final eyes:

Girls Aloud lashes (Kimberly Walsh)

Hi everyone,

Because I didn't have any time to do a huge makeup look when I had to go to a party last weekend, I just added lashes to make me look immediately made up. These lashes are made by Kimberly Walsh and all the other ladies from Girls Aloud also have their style of lashes. The lashes are made by http://www.eylure.com/ and I got mine (I have one of each) on http://www.asos.com/Beauty/A-To-Z-Of-Brands/Eylure/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?...

Because I didn't have any time and I didn't want it to look too made up, I didn't add a liner. If you're new to false lashes, do wear an eyeliner under the lashes to hide the lashband. If you skipp it like I did, you have to be able to place the lashes exactly against your lashline, but it does look more natural.

These lashes are sooo light, it's amazing that for 5 UK pounds you get lashes this breathtakingly beautyful and of this quality.
If you can get your hands on these, this is a must buy, there are 5 different sets in the Girls Aloud set.

Laura Mercier makeup by Amanda Rijff

Hi everyone,

Well, this makeup by Amanda Rijff was done quite a while ago. I've been waiting for the pictures to make the post complete for a while, but I finally decided to do it with the pictures I already have and when I get the other ones from Nic I'll add them then.

The makeup is all by Laura Mercier and is applied by Amanda Rijff at the Skins store (www.skins.nl/visagie.htm). Amanda is the account manager for NL/BE. This woman is sooo nice and sooo filled with knowledge, it was very fun to watch her work and pick her brain.

The Flawless Face Map I got looks like this:

And my face looked like this:

The day I got this flawless face I went there with a clean face, using only a tinted moisturizer (by Dermalogica). Before starting the makeup we had a good talk about what I wanted and my expectations. I told her no limits as long as there wasn't an orange lipstick involved. I wanted to look at how she handled the products but not look in the mirror because I wanted to be surprised and I know I can do the application with her face map.

After she cleaned my face she started with the Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer I was amazed that she used so much more then I use normally, but then with this primer I do use more then with my Smashbox primer. It's been made for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin types Amanda told me and after using it for about a month I can honestly tell you that I've had less blemishes and my skin looks less oily even in this humid weather. Acoording to the Laura Mercier website it contains high water content and addresses surface dehydration around active blemishes (my skin does react very well to this primer, I do miss the extra smooth feeling I get with the Smashbox primer, but this Laura Mercier primer is my preferred choice at the moment). It contains oil controlling ingredients ensure long-wear and flawless application (you'll see in the last pictures, that my face does look practically the same at night as it did after application, and that after a warm day with Nicole and riding a bike in the sun). The primer also contains vitamins A, C, & E which act as antioxidants & protect the skin from harmful, aging effects of the environment (I use Dr. Brandt's Anti-Oxidant Water Booster every day to keep my skin as healthy as possible so adding a protective layer at skinlevel is great as well). A tip given by Laura Mercier is cool the Foundation Primer in the refrigerator to refresh the skin & reduces puffiness.

The foundation that was used on my skin was Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Fawn, I thought I'd be a Sand but with the summersun, I have tanned a little bit, so she used Fawn. In the Flawless Face Kit (Oil Free) I bought Laura Mercier Oil Free Flawless Face Kit (in the colour Sand) are almost all the products she used for my face. I'd already ordered this before this day came because I was curious about the products and I was happy that when I left the store that day I could take the face kit with me. The Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer is pigmented enough to not need a foundation. If you layer two layers of this (building the colour) you can make this a normal foundation coverage. Again this Oil Free version is made for acne prone, sensitive or oily skin. There are many skins these days that are oily but still dry, there is an oily film over the skin, but the skin its self is dehydrated and this tinted moisturizer does work amazingly to rehydrate. This product really helps with that horrible oily film you can get halfway through the day and it also has an SPF of 20 which is ideal for summer.

The concealer she used was sooo much darker then I'm used to using, she used the no. 4 Undercover Pot which is the darkest one there is. I was actually thinking she was making a huge mistake when she was applying it, but it looked perfect. The undercover pot that's in the kit I bought is a no. 3 one which works perfect for the fall and for winter I'll probably need the no. 2 pot. This Pot is sooo easy to bring with you, I didn't take off the sticky thing over the sifter because I hate having the powder all over the pot when you open the screw top. I do really hope the Illamasqua "stoppers" in these kinds of pots catch on, those are amazingly handy. Under the top lid there are a Secret Camouflage and Secret Concealer. The Secret Camouflage formula is oil-free and stays in place all day long to cover blemishes, scars and imperfections. I tend to use this with the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Brush which is a flat tapered synthetic brush on blemishes and I use it with my fingers around my nose to take away the redness. The under eye circles are hidden with the Secret Concealer which is softer and that means you tug less on the delicate skin around your eyes.

She set the makeup with the Laura Mercier Mineral Finishing Powder in no. 2. I normally hate mineral powders, I've worn the Bare Essentials powders and on me it's chalky and for some reason I break out almost immediately. The sifter on the packaging is only halfway, so you don't have the problem with too much product coming out. This setting powder really did keep my makeup perfect the entire day, the only place that started to shine during the evening was my nose. This is not a product you buff in like the MUFE HD powder, you just smooth it over and then it's perfect. She tapped the Powder brush to make sure the powder really got into the brush and gave a perfect finish to my skin.

The colour on my cheeks is Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Tender Mauve. I don't wear a lot of blush, but when I came to Nic's place that's the first thing she noticed. The cheek colour was applied with the Cheek Colour Brush.

The primer she used on my eyes is Eye Basics in the shade Peach. This primer kept the eyeshadow perfectly for the entire day and when it was the end of the day and I wanted to take it off it wasn't hard to remove the makeup either.

On my eyes she used three colours, namely Sateen Eye Colour in Sandstone as a base, applying it with the Eye Colour Brush and blending with the Pony Tail Brush. This is a creamy powder that is crease resistant and is an amazing highlighting colour.
The next colour she used was Matte Eye Colour in Twilight Grey on my outer 3/4th of my eyelid and blending it up in and above the crease using the Angled Eye Colour Brush to apply and blend the colour on my crease. The main crease colour was another Matte Eye Colour but now in the colour Plum Smoke, applied with the Angled Eye Colour Brush and Pony Tail Brush.

The tighlining was done with an Eye pencil I had to buy immediately, namely the one in the colour Purple Sapphire. She also pressed the colour on my lower lash line, keeping the line very very thin (smudging it a little with the Smudge Brush, but the pop of colour was amazing.

She used a brow pencil for blonds to make my eyebrows a little neater without making it look like she filled in my eyebrows. Next she used a Thickening and Building Waterproof mascara in black on my lashes. The thing I did really miss was the curling of the lashes. I also wondered why she didn't contour my face, but when I asked her she told me that contouring is something people do wrong very easily and she never does this because you need to know what your doing and when doing makeup like this you don't know the person's makeup skills.

On my lips she used a Lip Pencil in Chestnut using only her finger to pull the skin taught. The lip colour on my lips is Lip Colour Sheer in Bare lips. This is a hydrating, anti-aging, plumping and conditioning lip colour with a semi-matte finish. I don't think this colour should be called sheer, it's pretty intense, but it is long lasting, it only faded after dinner (we ate taco's so not something that's easy on the lips).

After the entire day and night I took these pictures:

As you can see the shine is back, but the makeup colour is still there, the pop of purple is slightly less apparent and all the colours have softened a little, but what do you expect after more then 12 hours of no touch ups and riding a bike and eating in the sun.

So all in all, I'm impressed, of course there are things I would have done differently (contouring, curling the lashes for a more open eye and added an extra highlighter on the inner eye corner) but she really did teach me a lot and told me about the products with all honesty and with a love for the brand that's contagious. I have more information on the products on the post about my makeup bag where I tell more about the products in the flawless face kit and my Neutral Eye Tutorial also talks about the products and application.

I'll add the pictures that were taken at Nic's place when I get them.

Naked (eye makeup tutorial)

Hi everyone,

There is a makeup look that will never go out of fashion, that look would be the nude/neutral eye. I haven't done a huge tutorial in a long while, so I wanted to start again with this makeup look for you all. Click the image of the product to go to the producer's website (if it's still sold).

The final eye:

Every great neutral face and eye starts with a cleaned and moisturized face, it's summer so the moisturizer is extremely important. In this warm weather people sweat and that means salt crystals on the skin, that plus the burning sun create an easily dehydrated skin. I've been using Shiseido's The Skincare Range's Day Moisture Protection SPF 15 (at night I use their Night Moisture Recharge Light) as my daily moisturizer and I also use Estee Lauder's Daywear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion SPF 15 I love using different moisturizers depending on what my skin needs, the Shiseido moisturizer is a little richer and the Estee Lauder moisturizer smells sooo summery :D. The eye cream I'm using is by Elizabeth Arden's PREVAGE® Eye Anti-aging Moisturizing Treatment.

Because I'm someone who doesn't suntan I always stay pretty light. I do however hate looking pasty pale when everyone around me has a healthy glow, I found a way to make me instantly tan (depending on how much you put on your face) and it's streakless and very easy to apply. This Clinique (click the image to go to the website) Self Sun face bronzing gel tint is a product I heard about on youtube when Pixiwoo was raving about it and I HAD to buy it and I love it.

I always apply this all over my face (taking extra care around the hairline) bringing it down my neck and then blending it out. I never apply this over my eyelids because I don't think this is great for the eye area and if you blend it properly you just have brighter eyes which is something we all try to achieve with makeup. Having moisturized beforehand means you can blend this better and it's not a flaky application. Do remember to scrub your face every couple of days when you're using self tanner.

I LOVE this Smashbox Illuminating Serum which isn't sold separately. You can only get this in the Master's Class Vol. 4 Rescue Beauty kit sold at Sephora.com (click on the picture to go to the website).

This serum gives you a NATURAL healthy glow and wearing it alone makes your skin look perfect and not shiny or shimmery. Wearing it under a tinted moisturizer makes it a little less glowy but still naturally healthy, under a foundation it's a minimal glow, but you can use it on top of your foundation as a highlighter on top of your cheekbones. I always work from the centre of the face blending outward because I want the most of the glow to be in the centre (the lit from within look). This tube contains rose extract and hyaluronic acid to moisturise and revive the complexion. The tube has a great "nozzle" to give you the pea size amount you need for your entire face.

I told you about the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer that I love this summer because it seems to eat my shiny-ness. I tell you more about it here.

It applies a little "stiffer" then the Smashbox Primer I love, but it does wonders for my shine this summer, so I'm loving it.

My skin looks pretty amazing now, but I still want it to look a little more perfect so I'm using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer I talk about in this post. The colour I'm wearing is Sand.

This tinted moisturizer is pigmented enough to give me a perfect complexion. I seriously need no more coverage.

Next up is the Smashbox Photo Op Under Eye Brightener. This little tube is something I thought I'd never use, but I actually have three and I use it on everyone I make up.

When I'm not wearing any foundation I use this on the top of my nose, on my cheekbones, cupid's bow and around my eyes. For this look I only used it on my cupid's bow and on my eye-bone (see picture).

I blend this with my fingers.

Next up I use concealer, the one I'm using for this look is Laura Mercier Undercover Pot in no. 3 which contains the Secret Camouflage and Secret Concealer.

I tell you more about this product here. I use my fingers to blend the Secret Camouflage and the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Brush with it's flat tapered synthetic brushhead. I love how the tip is perfect for concealing blemishes.

The Secret Concealer is slightly softer then the Secret Camouflage and is perfect for under eye concealing.

I am more tan thanks to the Self Sun, but I still want a little more contouring under my cheekbones and on my temples. For this I use Chanel Bronze Universel.

I don't want to contour too much because I'm going for a natural look. On the picture you can see why I almost never use a blusher, I have a natural flush.

You can also see how many more freckles I get in the summer.

Next is powder to set everything. I've been using Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder which is in the Laura Mercier Undercover Pot. I tell you more about it here. Up close the powder looks like this (and this is all I used on my entire face).

I use the Laura Mercier Camouflage Powder Brush for applying powder under the eyes to set the concealer.

To put the powder on the rest of my face I use the Laura Mercier Velours Puff. I skip powdering my apples and the tops of my cheekbones, I do this because I want these places to have a glow and I know that the makeup won't budge even without powder.

To prime my eyes for the eyeshadow I love using the Urban Decay Primer potion.

I prime my entire eye and what's left on my fingers I blend under my eye.

Now I can start with the eye shadows. To start of with I'm using a colour that's slightly lighter then my skin tone but it's so sheer that it's perfect as a colour base. I use an eyeshadow all over my eye because of the primer I used, the primer keeps the eyeshadow longer, but it also makes it harder to blend. Blending is easier if you place a neutral shadow as a base. I'm using Smashbox Vanilla, which is a matte shadow. (Click on the picture to go to the website.)

I use a fluffy shadow brush (by Smashbox) to blend this all over my eyelid.

Remember to clean your shadow brushes once a week to make sure you work hygienic.

The thing that I love to do when doing a neutral eye is using shadows to make the eye look more open. The colour I use to manipulate my eye shape is Naked by Urban Decay (click the image).

This colour is slightly darker then my natural skin tone, it's a matte eyeshadow.

To place this colour I'm using a stiffer brush, namely the no. 4 Concealer brush by Smashbox. This is a synthetic brush that's made for concealer and cream eye shadows. This stiffer brush means I get a more precise application and more control over the blending.

I pack the colour only on one side of the brush and I apply it holding the colour to the eyebrow side of the eye and I'm holding the brush like this:

As you can see I'm applying it on the topside of my crease and I'm only applying it on the outer half of the crease. I then turn the brush a quarter and blend:

Put the side that the eyeshadow was on on the side of the nose. Blend and blend until you get a natural shadow and your eye looks like this:

I wanted a slightly darker brown to make it a little more shaded. I couldn't find a matte dark brown until I found this brown in the Smashbox Smokey Eyes Eye Shadow Trio which is no longer sold.

The trio has a champaigne with gold flecks, a aubergine colour and a dark brown with a hint of gold.

As you can see the gold is almost non existing and I took very little of this on the no. 4 brush. I did the same thing I did with Naked and blended what was left on the brush after blending under my eyes, when I was done my eyes look like this:

I took up a brown cream eyeliner pencil from Smashbox in the colour Midnight Brown (no longer sold) and used that on my upper waterline pushing it into my eyelashes.

I don't want anything on my lower waterline because this will close up the eye and it will make the makeup less natural.

The thing that finishes this makeup is eyelashes. I use my Shu Uemura Eyelashcurler, mini Lancome Cils Booster XL which I got in the Sephora Lashstash Mascara Deluxe Sampler and Rimmel London Secy Curves in waterproof Black.

The Cils Booster XL really makes my lashes appear longer. The best way of showing you is by showing you the picture of my "naked" face and the one after the mascara is applied, which is also the final eye.

When I close my eyes it looks like this:

On my lips I'm wearing Urban Decay's XXX Shine Lipgloss (cooling lip gloss) in Heatherette.

I hope you guys like this HUGE tutorial.

Hi everyone,

Here I am again... multiple posts on one day... whooooooh ;) Aren't you proud of me?? :P

I did an etherial eye when I went out with Nicole last weekend. I wanted it to look pretty natural but have a shimmer to pull the viewers eyes to mine. Now I took the pictures with a flashlight and without a mirror so they're not the prettiest, but they do show you how I did the makeup.

Prep
I started with a cleansed skin. Because my skin was acting up I did the dermalogica double cleanse. I started with Precleanse which is a cleansing oil. I love how this oil really takes of sooo much dirt and makeup, also this doesn't dry out my skin and the massage you automatically give your face when applying this boosts circulation which means less wrinkles :D . My second cleanser was Ultracalming Cleanser which is sooo soft but does really clean well. It doesn't give you a tight feeling skin and my skin has really reacted sooo well to this, it's super :D . After the cleaning, I wanted my skin to look even more fresh so I used bliss triple oxygen™ - Instant energizing mask to foam my skin into a brighter version of itself.

Face As a primer I used a tester of the Smashbox - Photo finish foundation primer SPF 15 & Dermaxyl, which feels just like the normal Photo Finish but has more skincare things in it apparently. On my face I used Too Faced - Magic Wand Foundation in New York Light. I really love the way you can build up this foundation and the fact that the brush is built in, so when I'm not home (which I wasn't) this is unbelievably handy. As a concealer I used two different colours of Smashbox - Camera Ready Concealer. I used the no. 3 and no. 2. The more pink colour I used on the inner corner of my eyes and the more yellow toned colour was used to hide small blemishes and around my nose. I blended this with my fingers because I wasn't home and I didn't bring the right brush.

I used a new product I've fallen in love with for contouring. Officially it's a bronzer, but I use it for contouring, it's Chanel Bronze Universal. It's pretty expensive but you get a huge jar. I apply this with (another new brush, yes I know, I'm addicted) Sephora Brand - Professionnel Platinum Stippling Brush no. 44. This brush is meant for Stippling, but if I use this brush with my foundation I get a very thick layer. Maybe when I get a thinner foundation (like the Make Up For Ever - HD Invisible Cover Foundation it will work better. I use this brush to apply a thin layer of the Bronze Universal on my temples working in an E or 3 to under my cheekbones and then under my jawline. Remember that you have to blend contouring colours into your hairline and ears to prevent your contouring looking fake.

I used the Make Up For Ever - HD Powder to fix the makeup, buttttt I only used the powder under my eyes and on my forehead, nose and chin, using a clean Smashbox - Crease brush. I used this brush because I want to keep the sheen to my face and I only want to hide the shine on my T-zone. I have a primer under my foundation so it shouldn't move, but I have a fixing spray I use at the very end of my makeup application.

Eyes
On my eyes I used my favourite Urban Decay - Primer Potion. After this I used the light grey cream eyeliner from the Smashbox (Wicked Lovely Line) - Cream liner loose shimmer pot which is on sale now on the Smashbox website. For the application I used the brush I think I use the most, I even have 2 of this brush  , it's the Smashbox - Definer brush. I blended the cream eyeliner up to and a little above the crease. I also placed this cream eyeshadow on my lower lash line with the brush side of my Smashbox - Double Ended Smudger Brush.

The colour I placed with my second Smashbox - Definer brush over the grey base is the grey from the Smashbox - Eye Shadow Trio in Shutterspeed. This grey is matte, and I wanted a shimmer, so I took the Smashbox - Crease brush that I used to apply the HD powder on my face. With this brush I used the shimmer powder that's in the Smashbox (Wicked Lovely Line) - Cream liner loose shimmer pot all over my eyes and over the grey cream liner on my bottom lash line (use only the tip for this, a slightly messy shimmery look under the eyes is sexy, a big glob of shimmer is ugly ;) if you think the brush is too big, get a smaller one for this, I picked this one because it's very fluffy so you get a very airbrushed finish).

As a mascara I used only one coat of my new (yes, another new thing... I knowwww, I was stressed and then I buy makeup) Dior - Diorshow Iconic Mascara in black. I only wanted one coat because I wanted "flutter lashes" and no huge statement. Which worked amazingly well because that night I looked natural instead of made up.

Because I didn't want my makeup to move or slip, but did want to keep the face looking the way it looked right now without adding (mattifying) powder, I used Make Up For Ever - Make Up Fixer Spray over this entire look.

Lips
On my lips I used a mini lipstick I got when I bought my Diorshow Iconic. The colour is an Dior - Addict High Shine Lipstick in Catwalk Mauve (sheer mauve plum). If you want the exact same set I got, click here. I hope you like this look!!
