Bright summer

Hi everyone,

How has everyone been? The sun is starting to shine some more here, so spring is in the air and even though I know the fall/winter looks for the upcoming fall/winter already, I'm not going to tell you anything about them until you should actually start wearing them. I'm giving you all the information about achieving this fun, spring look right now.

I thought about the last time I did a look for glasses and I was shocked at how long it's been. So in this look I'm wearing my own glasses. I got these glasses for free when I got my new contacts and they're by Pearl and are black on the outside and white on the inside, on the sides you see black and white stripes. I love wearing these glasses when I'm at home watching TV or when I'm not in the mood to stick my lenses in my eye ;) .

For this eye I used many layers of colour but I used it sparingly and I built it up slowly because too bright means you get an eye that overpowers the rest of the face and you, which is never good. I think makeup should enhance who you are, not hide it.

Prep
Before you place many makeup on your face, make sure all the dirt of the night/day is gone, so cleanse thoroughly. My skin's starting to look normal again (a few small patches are still dry and flaky, but they're getting smaller every day). I did the dermalogica double cleanse again, I started with the Precleanse which is the cleansing oil which gives you a fresh healthy glow because you boost circulation. When you're done massaging, you add a little water to your face and the oil magically turns into a milk and you just wipe that off with a wet towel. The second cleanser I used was Ultracalming Cleanser which has a very fresh smell, in the morning I love how this smell wakes me up. After the cleansing, I used two moisturizers mixed together. I mixed the Clinique - Comfort On Call with Dermalogica - Sheer tint moisture SPF 15 which means I add a little extra colour to my skin and a SPF but also some care for my skin.

Face
Before I used a primer I used Smashbox - Illuminating Serum for brighter face which can be found in the Smashbox Master's Class Vol. 4 Rescue BeautyMaster's Class Vol. 4 Rescue Beauty, this is no longer sold via the Smashbox website, but Sephora still has it on their website. This serum is amazing, seriously it's a breath of fresh air for your skin. It gives a little brightening, but also it has Rose Seed extracts which is a great antioxidant. As an illuminating primer (for extra radiance) I used the Smashbox - Hybrid 2 in 1 Luminizing primer from the Greenroom Collection, which is environmentally-friendly and has light diffusing ARTIFICIAL LIGHT in the inner tube and skin-smoothing in the outer tube. The Green Room collection is no longer sold on the Smashbox website, the link I provided brings you to a Swedish website where I order many products, so all the Europeans can get it there if they want to, but for Americans, the normal Hybrid has been added to the Muse collection and can be found here. The Hybrids are filled with vitamins, antioxidants and botanicals for extra skin benefits. With the purchase of every GREEN ROOM product, a Moringa tree will be planted in a developing country by Trees for the Future. The Moringa or "Miracle Tree" is a powerhouse of nutritional value and provides a self-renewing food source for people in need. More trees also mean less soil erosion and cleaner air and water for a greener future. The hybrid feels just like the normal Photo Finish but has more skincare things in it apparently, adding this not only makes my skin feel incredibly soft (the clear gel in the tube is normal Smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer but also cares for it.

On my face I used Dior - DiorSkin AirFlash spray foundation which is the easiest and best way to add an airbrushed look to your skin. I love how my skin feels wearing this and the 5 seconds it takes to apply. Because I wanted my eyes to be really bright I used Smashbox - Photo Op Under Eye Brightener also on my eyes and on the top of my cheekbones. As a concealer I used two different colours of Smashbox - Camera Ready Concealer. I used the no. 3 and no. 2. The more pink colour I used on the inner corner of my eyes and the more yellow toned colour was used to hide small blemishes and around my nose. I applied this with my The Body Shop - concealer brush because I needed preciese placing and I blended with my new Dior - Foundation brush which feels amazing in my hands, it's a little heavier then the Smashbox foundation brush I have, but I only have the Travel foundation brush, so that could be the reason.

I used a fairly new product I've fallen in love with for contouring. Officially it's a bronzer, but I use it for contouring because I'm sooo damn white, it's Chanel Bronze Universal which is a Sun illuminator and gives a sunkissed glow when used as a bronzer, but also can be used a great contouring product. It's pretty expensive but you get a huge jar. I apply this with Sephora Brand - Professionnel Platinum Stippling Brush no. 44 for a light coverage, if I want more I can build up the colour, but I don't want to apply it with my fingers because that will give a smudged streaky finish. This brush is actually meant for stippling, but if I use this brush with my foundation I get a very thick layer which is something I personally don't like. I like my own skin to shine through, I (usually) like my skin and I have light freckles so I look odd without them. Maybe when I get a thinner foundation (like the Make Up For Ever - HD Invisible Cover Foundation the brush will work better for stippling, but for now it's my bronzer brush. I use this brush to apply a thin layer of the Bronze Universal on my temples working in an E or 3 to under my cheekbones and then under my jawline. Remember that you have to blend contouring colours into your hairline and ears to prevent your contouring being too obvious. I also used a little down the sides of my nose to make it seen a little smaller.

I used the Make Up For Ever - HD Powder to set the makeup, I do this with my Sephora no.45 Mineral Powder brush which is no longer sold through the website, they do still have it at the Sephora store here, so they might still have it where you love, otherwise, using the Make Up For Ever - Kabiku Brush should do just as amazing a job. Thanks to its soft-to-the-touch yet sufficiently firm nylon bristles, the Kabuki Brush makes it easy to sweep powder on the face. The width of the bristles has been specially tailored to the HD Powder packaging and the black color makes dosing the powder easy. The rounded shape facilitates the cirucular movements necessary for the light application of HD Powder.
You can use a normal Kabuki for this though.

Eyes
On my eyes I used my go to Urban Decay - Primer Potion. I used Clinique - Touch Tint for Eyes, Shimmer Formula in 06 Nude Sparkle as a base colour for this eye. This is a colour that doesn't crease and gives a natural glimmer that just lights up the eyes a bit but does it sooo naturally that if you didn't know it, you wouldn't think there was a colour on the eyes.

As a base colour on my eyelids I used the silver colour from the discontinued Sephora - Paradise Island palette. As a replacement I think something like MAC Cream Colour Base in Luna should do the trick. I use a cream eyeshadow as an extra base to make the silver on top pop even more and to give the colour more dimension. I place this colour with a Sephora Brand Professionnel Large Synthetic Eyeshadow Brush no. 25, I use a synthetic brush because it's a cream eyeshadow and natural bristles would give an uneven coating of cream and I placed it up to the crease.

As a silvery eyeshadow I used Smashbox - Rapture Eye Shadow colour Shimmery White over the cream up to the crease. I used my Sephora - Professionnel All Over Shadow Brush, Large no. 21 for placement. Now I needed to add the pink colour to the inner eyecorner. I used this pink colour only on the top half of the inner eye corner, because placing it on the bottom can make you look ill/tired. Also finding the right colour for this is very important, I mixed two Urban Decay colours for this. I used a hint of Urban Decay - DeLuxe Eyeshadow in Sting and Urban Decay - Eyeshadow in Grifter placing the colours (first the Sting and then Grifter) with my Urban Decay - Wonder Brush. This brush is AMAZING!!! You have sooo much control and it really does make the application very very easy.

My crease colour is Urban Decay DeLuxe Eyeshadow in Peace which can be bought as a single and is available in the Deluxe Shadow Box, I placed this very very lightly in the crease with Urban Decay - Crease brush for a precise but light application of colour.

Here is a picture of me with my eyes closed to show you where I applied everything:

As you can see I made the crease colour a < shape, I did this to make the crease colour seem less floaty. This is however the best way it looks on my eyes, if you have a very small eyelid area, you shouldn't do this and try using the Peace colour high on the crease.

As a mascara I used only one coat of my Dior - Diorshow Iconic Mascara in black. I only used one coat because wanted the colour to be the statement and not the lashes. Also using more coats or falsies would make the eye less "flirty spring" and more "trying too hard" if you ask me.

Here is a picture of the finished eye without glasses to show you how the application looks:

Lips
On my lips I used another colour from the Smashbox - Master's Class Vol. 4 Rescue Beauty, this lip gloss is called Quench Moisture Rich Lip Gloss and is not sold separately, just like the serum isn't, which is a shame because these products are super! The only product I don't like from this Volume 4 is the Eye Shadow Quad in Bright Eyed because of the colours.

I hope you like this explanation, if you've got any idea's for my 100th look, let me know!!

Neutral golden eye (glasses) (September 1, 2008)

I wanted to show you a neutral eye that you can wear if you have glasses.
This is a look that is very easy for everyday wear and doesn't take a lot of time or skill at all.

I cleansed my face in the shower this morning and quickly followed this with some Continuous Rescue Antioxidant Moisturizer and Clinique repairwear intensive eye cream. It may have been a good night's sleep, or maybe a relaxing weekend and caring extra for my skin, but it looked great this morning, so not a lot needed to prep today.

Products in this picture:

Yves Saint Laurent, Teint Parfait Complexion enhancer in no. 7 - Golden Sand

Make Up For Ever Professional Paris, Super Matte Loose Powder in no. 12

Sephora Brand, Concealer Palette

The Body Shop, Concealer Brush

Sephora Professionnel, Mineral Powder Brush no. 45

Face
Because my skin looks great today, I only wore the Teint Parfait and no foundation over it. I used the concealer brush to place a teeny tiny bit of concealer (mixing the pink and both skin tones together) in the inner corner of my eye and on my almost invisible dark circle. I'm normally not one who uses a lot of powder, I don't like the feeling, but this Make Up For Ever powder is amazing, it doesn't feel like a powder and I buffed it under my eyes to set the Teint Parfait and concealer and on my T-zone to remove shine.

If you do have dark circles, glasses will exaggerate them, so then you can add an extra step after concealing. You take a highlighter, my personal favourite is Touche Eclat (no. 2) to highlight. You then highlighted the brow bone above and under the brows (because your brows usually are above your glasses). You put highlighter at both corners of the eye and blend well. Finally you put a triangle of highlighter under the eyes (a horizontal line from under your eye to a point straight down to the apple of your cheek), blend well!!. If you wear glasses, there is less light that hits this spot, you need something to bring a little light there.

Products in this picture:

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Blinc, Kiss me mascara - Black

Sephora Eyelash curler

Mascara wand for eyebrow brushing (clean)

Rimmel London, Metallic Cream Shadow - no. 014 Hoxton

Sephora Brand Professionnel, Small Synthetic Eyeshadow Brush - no. 26

Eyes
Here is the proof that a little bit goes a long way. I started with the primer potion on my eyelid. I curled and gave my lashes a thick coat of mascara now, because I don't want the curler to move the cream eyeshadow afterwards. I then took the Rimmel Metallic Cream Shadow and used the eyeshadow brush to place the shadow on my eyelid and blended the colour out and upward from the crease. That's it, that's all there is to it. I hope the cream eyeshadow doesn't crease, but tonight I'll place a comment to tell you if it did or didn't.

Here is the look without glasses:

Look with glasses:

Smokey eye (Sephora Smokey Eye - Lesson 1) (Thursday August 21, 2008)

I got the Sephora Smokey Eye kit a couple of days ago and was waiting for a night to try it out, after a couple of days (today) I decided that I didn't care anymore and toned it down a bit to wear it during the day.

I'm one of those weird people that thinks about eyes first and then thinks what hair and clothes go with it. (For everyone that's curious, I had my hair in a loose bun with curls falling out, had jeans on with a tight Billabong sweater and high boots over the jeans.) My scent for today was Calvin Klein One.

Products in this picture:
- Diadermine, Soft mousse (dry & sensitive skin)
- Clinique, Continuous rescue antioxidant moisturizer
- Clinique, Repairwear intensive eye cream
- Sephora, Immediate wrinkle filler

Preparation:
To start of I used the Diadermine soft mousse to clean off the night. I then used the eye cream and the moisturiser and let that sink in for about the length it takes to brush your teeth. I then place the wrinkle filler under my eyes and was ready for the next step.

Products in this picture:
- The Body Shop, Concealer brush
- Smashbox, Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer - 3.0
- Smashbox, Travel foundation brush
- Smashbox, Clear Photofinish Foundation Primer
- Smashbox, Photo Op - Under Eye Brightener
- Smashbox, High Definition Healthy FX Foundation - Light L3
- Smashbox, Pressed Powder/Bronze Lights Duo (Bronze Lights in Sunkissed & Pressed Powder in Fair/Light)
- Smashbox, Baby Buki Brush

Face
Because the eye is smokey and dark, the skin needs to look flawless. So I started with the Primer which I bought recently, I was using the smaller size that came in a Smashbox kit, but decided it was smarter to use that one for travel. Next up was the foundation, I keep using the foundation brush when I need a more full coverage look. I used it a little thicker where I needed more coverage. I then used the Photo Op and tapped that into my skin under my eyes using my middle finger. I placed concealer (with the brush) on my dark circles and also around my nose to kill any redness that could possibly be there.
I set this all with first the pressed powder and later used the bronze lights as a contour under my cheekbones and jawline using the baby buki brush (say that quickly ten times when you're drunk ;) ).

Products in this picture:
- Smashbox, Concealer brush - no. 4
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, Crease Brush - no. 18
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, Rounded Crease Brush no. 13
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, All Over Shadow Brush - Large no. 21
- Benefit, Lip Plump
- Sephora, Lesson 1 - Smokey eye kit
- Sephora, Eyelash curler

Eyes
Using the kit is very easy, I know how to do a smokey eye, but I still sort of followed the instructions to see what I would end up with. I did wear it during the day, so I toned it down a little bit.

On the front of the kit you see what eye you'll end up with if you follow the instructions.

There are 4 colours in the kit, a base colour, a black, a shimmery brown/grey, and a highlighter. There is also a khol and a mascara in the kit as well as a sponge applicator and a brush applicator. Even a mirror is included in the kit.

The instructions are basic but easy to follow.

Because of the pictures, if you do exactly what they say, you will end up with an eye similar to the one on the front of the kit.

I didn't exactly follow the instructions because I wanted it a little more muted. I used the black as a fat line and blended it up with the dark brown/grey colour. Which caused me my only problem with the kit, that colour does not blend well. This is the best I could do with it:

Here is how I did it. I started with the all over shadow brush to bring the base colour all over my eye (if you are very fair, it was a little too dark for my skin if I hadn't used less on my brow bone). I then used the rounded crease brush to add the black as a thick line around my eye. I blended the colour out a little already because I didn't want to have trouble with the next colour, which I had anyway. I used the crease brush to brush the 3rd colour dark grey/brown with a slight shimmer over the black and over my crease trying to blend it out well. I finally got the colour line to blend properly, but then I saw small crease like colour differences in my crease, maybe I should have used a primer under it, but I wanted to follow the kit and nothing extra to test it and the first colour said base. Still I cleaned it up a bit with a little more of the black and grey/brown mixed together and was sorta happy with it at the end. (I figured no one would look as closely as me at my crease during the day, you will now on the picture, but hey... ) Using the concealer brush I took the highlighter colour under my eyebrow and in the corner of my eye.

Lips
Because the eyes where pretty dark, my lips had to be very very neutral, so I took my natural lip colour out using Benefit Lip Plump patting it in with my fingers and then using my finger as well I placed the colour ABC Gum by Urban Decay on my lips.

Making my lips look like this in the end:

Bellaressa asked me if you could do a smokey eye with glasses for evening. So I took my mum's glasses (mine are very neutral and these are more pronounced) and took these pictures to show you, you can wear a smokey eye with glasses. I hope you like it!

Question, do you guys like the added lip pictures? Or are you here mainly for the eyes?

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I was asked about the kit by Sephora a lot, I could only find it on the French Sephora site here.

Green eye look for women wearing glasses (Tuesday August 19, 2008)

I realised yesterday that I hadn't used much green in my looks lately, so I had to do an all green eye this morning. I was in a hurry, so after the look and a quick picture, I went off and took the pictures of me wearing the glasses at the end of my day. People who are wondering why some of us are raving about the Urban Decay Primer Potion, look at the eye with the glasses after a whole day of wear and tear and you'll see why we like it.

I'm gonna call this eye "Green with envy" ;)

I'm one of those people who believes that your skin is most of your face, so preperation and cleansing, moisturising, masks, etc etc are things I always do to keep my skin happy. I change it up listening to what it needs, if it's raining outside I take a different moisturiser then when it's not, if it's very warm that day I'll skip the scrub half of the cleansing cushion to give my skin a break.

Products in this picture:

Benefit, Firmology

Neutrogena, PureGlow - Daily cleansing cushions (dry and sensitive skin)

Clinique, Repairwear intensive - Eye cream

Preperation
I took the cleansing cushion and cleaned my face using very cold water to take off the soapiness. I followed with Firmology and repairwear eye cream because it's strange weather here today, it's warm but also there are rainclouds everywhere.

Products in this picture:

Smashbox, Fan Brush - no. 22

Smashbox, Travel Foundation Brush

The Body Shop, Concealer Brush

Smashbox, Photofinish Foundation Primer (Clear)

Smashbox, High Definition Healthy FX Foundation - Light L3

Benefit, HighBrow

Smashbox, Photo Op - Under Eye Brightener

Urban Decay, Eye Shadow Primer Potion

Givenchy, Prisimissime Mat & Glow - 72 Sunny

Benefit, Erase Paste - Fair

Smashbox, Pressed Powder/Bronze Lights Duo (Bronze Lights in Sunkissed & Pressed Powder in Fair/Light)

Smashbox, Baby Buki Brush

Skin
Because I needed a little more coverage today, I used basically the Smashbox foundation rules for my skin. I started with one pump of the Photofinish, which always makes me sooo happy. I don't know what it is with this stuff, it makes my skin amazingly soft and as an extra bonus my pores look smaller :D I followed the primer with one pump of the Healthy FX High Def. foundation, applied with the travel foundation brush. I saw an amazing foundation brush today at Sephora, it's a Dior foundation brush and it was soooo soft, but it's 30 euros, I'll put it on my list for Christmas.
Next up was the Under Eye Brightener which I could really use today, followed by the Benefit Erase paste (which is a little lighter then the other concealers I have). I put on the erase paste with a small concealer brush and then patted the colour in with my ring finger. I used the baby buki brush and the pressed powder to set it and then the bronzer from the same box under my cheekbones to define them and on top of my nose, chin and under my jawline. Using the Fan Brush I put a little of the Givenchy Presimissime on top of my cheekbones to highlight them. With my face done and ready for a hard day of work, I started on my eyes.

Products in this picture:

Mascara wand for my eyebrows

Sephora, Eyelash curlerSephora Brand, Lash Plumper - Black

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow - Acid Rain (green w/ yellow gold shift, Item # 32000)

Sephora Brand Professionnel, All Over Shadow Brush - Large no. 21

Urban Decay, Deluxe Eyeshadow - Graffiti (bright green, Item # 36590)

Smashbox, Concealer Brush - no. 4

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow - Mildew (deep green, Item # 31300)

Sephora Brand Professionnel, Rounded Crease Brush - no. 13

Eyes
I used HighBrow on my brow bone and blended this really well with my finger, that is the only colour on my brow bone, so I had to make sure it was really well blended. I used the all famous Primer Potion by Urban Decay on my eyelids and a little over my crease. If you look at the first two pictures in this post, you see why I love this primer, my makeup stayed exactly where I put it the entire day.
I used all Urban Decay eyeshadows for this eye, mainly because their greens really suit my eye and are very well together. I started with the all over shadow brush and Acid Rain, I packed the brush and pressed the colour into my lid because I wanted it to really have a kick there. I then fluffed the colour up and blended it to fade a little over my crease. Next up was Graffiti, this is a very scary colour in the package, I was seriously thinking I would never use this colour and never bought the palette it came in, until a month or so ago when I saw a look that needed a colour like that and I got it as a single colour. Now I just ordered the palette that has this colour and other "scary" colours, because I like palettes and I'm not going to be afraid anymore, hihi. I put the concealer brush into Graffiti and used this to first do the line under my eye. The reason for doing the line under my eye is, if you let the line go up and out at the outer corner of your eye until it meets the crease, you have the perfect corner. I then put the rest of the Graffiti in my crease to darken it a little. I then took Mildew and my rounded crease brush and placed the brush on the outer corner still on Acid Rain but touching Graffiti and blended it inwards so that one third of my outer eyelid had the colour Mildew and a little over that was Acid Rain and Mildew blended together.
It sounds really difficult, but it isn't. Just do the colour like I have it on my closed eye here:

I then curled my eyelashes and gave them two coats of the Sephora lash Plumper. I like this mascara, it's a little more noticeable then the Blink and LORAC ones I was testing on previous looks. It also went on very easy and it doesn't make my eyelashes very hard or anything.

My eye without glasses looks like this:

At the end of the day, with glasses (I'm not hiding anything under the glasses, I just thought it would be a good eye for glasses and wanted a picture with the glasses because my makeup stayed perfect). The picture was taken in end of the day lighting, so it might be a little more yellow then the morning pictures.

I used a light pinkish lipgloss on my lips.

Scent
For a scent I used Emporio Armani's City Glam.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On a different note, I saw a great Make Up For Ever review by Pursebuzz on their HD Powder last week and I had to put my fingers in the jar of HD powder when I was at the Sephora, it did feel a bit grainy, but it looked really nice. Does anyone else use it? Did you like it? Should I get it?

Eye look for women wearing glasses (Thursday August 14, 2008)

This eye was featured on BellaSugar on August 14, 2008. For the feature on BellaSugar click here.

This look was requested by almost famous. She wanted a look for women wearing glasses. As you probably have seen in some of the pictures I wear lenses, but I do have an old set of glasses somewhere in the closet, so I put it on when I was done with the makeup.

Products in this picture:

Diadermine, Soft mousse (dry & sensitive skin)

Clinique, Continuous rescue antioxidant moisturizer

Clinique, Repairwear - Intensive eye cream

Sephora, Immediate wrinkle filler

Preperation
I started my taking of the night with the soft mousse to wake up gently. I then moisturised with the Clinique moisturizer and eye cream followed by Sephora's wrinkle filler. My skin likes this routine sometimes, because it's very gentle and when it's an early morning you wake up with less of a shock.

Products in this picture:

Smashbox, Hybrid 2 in 1 - Luminizing primer

Smashbox, High definition healthy FX foundation - Light L3

Smashbox, Camera ready concealer - 3.0

Smashbox, Photo op - Under eye brightener

YSL, Touche Eclat - 2

Skin
I'm very good in still keeping up the Smashbox face routine they recommend. I started with the primer, I love the tube, but for some reason I get more of the see though then the luminizer, I'm hoping this is because it's new and that it will do both equally soon. I love the way my skin feels when I wear this, I got my friend to touch my skin today and she was all "Wow, that is sooo soft". I then used the foundation with the brush again and used less product today, I wanted it a little less severe. I like the way you can see my skin though this foundation when you use a little less. I then did the eye brightener on and under my eyes and followed this with my concealer under my eyes and around my nose with a concealer brush. As you can see, all of this is what I normally do then I put on foundation, but here comes the extra added step. I take a highlighter, my favourite Touche Eclat to highlight (this is not a concealer, so using it as a concealer works if you have a little to hide, but normally I would advise to put a concealer under it). I highlighted the brow bone above my brows (because your brows usually are above your glasses). I put highlighter at both corners of my eye and (Smashbox did this in a video on youtube) I put a triangle of highlighter under my eyes (a horizontal line from under your eye to a point straight down to the apple of your cheek). Because if you wear glasses, there is less light that hits this spot, you need something to bring a little light there.
I then dipped the brush that comes with the Prisimissime Mat & Glow over all the colours and very lightly brushed it over my cheekbone. I did this because glasses "eat" the colour out of your face and with this step you add a little.

Products in this picture:

Benefit, HighBrow

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow - Polyester Bride (white w/ silver glitter, Item # 35900)

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow - Sin (champagne, Item # 36310) Left top colour on the Palette

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow - Toasted (rich copper, Item # 36760)

Urban Decay, Eyeshadow - Envy (not available on the website anymore it's the left bottom blue grayish colour)

Urban Decay, 24/7 Glide on Pencil - Zero

Givenchy, Prisimissime Mat & Glow - 72 Sunny

LORAC, Publicitystunt lashes - Black

Eyes
I started my eyes by doing the Benefit HighBrow first, I found out (by accident) that if you do this before you use the primer, the colour blends better and makes it less of a white line. I then used the Urban Decay primer potion (not photographed) with my finger on my eyelid to prep it for the colours I will use. I then took the Polyester Bride with my All Over Shadow Brush all over my eye and a little out at the outside of my eyes to make it look a little shimmery from the side under the legs of the glasses. The rule is that you never wear glitter on your eyes when you wear glasses, I don't really like rules and this eyeshadow does have little glitter bits in it. I say, try it on a day when you have time to to take it off if you don't like it or when you don't have to leave the house. I followed the Polyester Bride with Sin using my crease brush. I took this colour all over my lid and going up a bit at the crease. I also took it up a lot at the inner corner up to the brow, this may look scary to do, but it actually works, trust me. I took Toasted on the inner half of my eyelid and blended this with Sin with the rounded crease brush. I finished the look with the Envy using the smudge brush to put a little on the outer lash line and making the "line" a big bigger going to the inner corner of the eye. I then did the same at the lower lash line. I put Zero on both my waterlines and curled first and then coated my lashes with 2 coats of mascara.

You might be thinking I'm insane for using more colour on my inner corner then at my outer corner, but here's why. You have a lot of rim very close to your eye here, and you have the rubber thingies on the side of your nose, this part of your eye will disappear a little when wearing glasses. Your lashes will pick up the outer corner and from the side it won't look like you put your entire makeup kit on your eyes.

Without glasses your eye will look like this

Products in this picture:

Christian Dior, Multi-effect pro lip palette - 001 Beige Pret-a-porter

Lips
I gave my lips a neutral colour today because I'm going out to lunch and I hate having to reapply my lipstick the entire day. So I used the Base colour from my Dior Palette.

Brushes
- Smashbox, Travel Foundation Brush
- The Body Shop, Concealer brush
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, All Over Shadow Brush - Large no. 21
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, Crease Brush no. 18 (now no. 13)
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, Rounded Crease Brush (now no. 13)
- Sephora Brand Professionnel, Smudge Brush no. 19 (now no. 14)
- Sephora, Eyelash curler

Scent
The scent I wore with this look is Versace Bright Crystal

I hope you like this still not screaming but pretty look for if you wear glasses.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Here is some more information that came up after posting this blog originally:

Maybe some of you are wondering as well, I use Dior Duo Magique Duo-Phase Eye Makeup Remover for my eye makeup and Bliss Sleeping Peel Cleansing Cream. Followed by Sleeping Peel Age Minimizing Eye Gel and Dior Capture R60/80 First Wrinkles Smoothing Creme.
