Quick and Easy 5 minute face for work

Hi everyone,

One of my students took this picture of me last week (thanks W!), and I thought I'd show you that even on workdays when you feel like you have no time to do any makeup in the morning... you can still do a great face in 5 minutes.

What I did was after my shower on still warm skin I used 4 drops of SkinCeuticals called Prevent Serum 10 AOX+ followed by Shiseido's The Skincare Range's Day Moisture Protection SPF 1. After this I used Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer followed by Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in the shade Fawn. The version I used was not the Oil Free version because it's getting colder here and my skin tends to be dry during the winter months.

Under my eyes I used the Laura Mercier, no. 3 Undercover Pot followed with a little of MUFE lift concealer, mixing the 3 Neutral Beige and the no. 1 Pink beige. I set this makeup with Laura Mercier, Translucent Loose Setting Powder and the Laura Mercier Velours Puff. As you can see this sets the makeup but doesn't make it look flat.

After this I used Urban Decay's, Liquid Liner in Perversion which I followed with Make Up For Ever's, Smokey Lash mascara in Black.

Hi everyone,

I did Nic's makeup a couple of days ago, and this is the final face:

Face:
I wanted Nic to have a healthy glow, soooo I used Lancome, Hydra Zen Neurocalm Day Cream as a moisturizer. This moisturizer really moisturises and the scent of it is amazing! Over this I used Smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer followed by Smashbox, High Definition Healthy FX Foundation in Light L3 which I applied with the travel size Smashbox Foundation brush (available now is the normal sized Foundation brush). She has no dark circles, so the only thing I placed right under her eyes is the foundation. Because I wanted to contour her face with a powder, I used Make Up For Ever HD powder with a kabuki brush to not take all the shine out of her face but set the makeup and create a base for the powder contour. Because we were going out to a club, she wouldn't wear this in sunlight, which meant I could use a darker contouring then I would if it were daytime. I used the dark bronzer from the Smashbox Blush Bronzer Duo in Cosmopolitan to contour her cheeks, nose, forehead and jawline.

Eyes:
When I looked at Nic's eyes, I wanted to add a lot of colour, but not take away her natural big eyes. I started with filling in her brows because I believe that a strong eye needs to be framed with a proper eyebrow. I used her own L'Oreal browpencil to create a little more of an arch in her brows. The good thing with Nic's blond brows is that you can draw them differently and at night no one notices.
I used Urban Decay - Primer Potion as a base, because we're going out, she needs something that holds the colour vibrant. The base colour I'm using all over her entire eye is GOSH, Effect Powder in Merinque, this colour adds a lot of brightness to her eyes. I also used this just under her lower lashes. On the outer 3/4th of the eyelid I added GOSH, Effect Powder in Rose Gold, this a slightly darker light pink. I seriously love this colour! On the outer half I used Barry M, Dazzle Dust in Cherry Red, this colour is a serious bright pink. I blended this inward a little, but tried to keep the colour mostly on the outer half. On the outer V I used Rimmel London, Colour Rush Mono Eyeshadow in Jet Black (214). I applied all these colours using the Smashbox, no. 15 definer brush which is my favourite brush for applying eyeshadow. I added some eyeliner to her lashline with L'Oreal Contour Resist in 201 Black. On her waterline I used my favourite liner brush Smashbox, arched liner brush no. 21 with my black Stila Smudge Pot, this makes the lashes look thicker at the base... which I enhanced with Sephora false lashes. The lashes I chose are called: Full (long black flares) Item # 947895. I applied these lashes with the glue which came in the package. Usually I hate these glues, but this time this glue really suprised me, it really did a beautiful job.

Lips:
On her lips I mixed three differen lipgloss colours from Mark. I used Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in Bubbles (for the shimmer), in Girly Girl (for the pink) and in Hot to add a little warmth.

Hi everyone,

I got a package today.... and in it... Martini put some Giorgio Armani testers :D . Sooo naturally I had to try it right away... Here is a quick how to on the look and products I used in this look.

Face:
I started on a fresh face (after my bath I used my Dior Capture RX daycreme and eyecreme) with the Giorgio Armani - Fluid Master Primer which looks like a gel, but feels like a thicker form of Smashbox - Photofinish Foundation Primer. It glides over the skin like silk and my face felt soooo incredibly soft, I was amazed that something felt softer then the Photofinish. Also it's very light and doesn't feel heavy at all after a few minutes, no masklike sensation or anything. As a foundation I used the Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation in 5, which is a little too light for my skintone, but perfect for this look, making me look polished and gives me an alabaster skin. Also this is light enough to not look like your wearing a load of foundation, but also coloured enough to make you need very little concealer. So no concealer was needed, just a little highlighting with Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat in no. 2.

Eyes:
As the base colour I'm using the shimmery white from the Benefit - Valley of the Stars (mini iridescence kit) as a colour all over my eyes using the Urban Decay - Shadow brush. I packed on the colour and when I was done I wanted to add a Geisha hint to the look, so I used the green pencil from the Urban Decay - VIP Travel Size Set of Five 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Covet on my waterline and under my eyes. I ended the line just on the end of my eyes, I then used the Urban Decay - Wonder Brush to make the line go on towards the end of my brow. This maked the line fade out, you can help the fade quicker by blending with your fingers, but I didn't do that here. Make sure both eyes look equal!!!

Sorry the pictures are a bit blurry, the sun is still not shining which means bad lighting and using a flash means I have to be further away from the camera which kills the details.

On my lips I used Bare Escentuals - Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Dolly

Vibrant liner

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I did an eyelook, and I have this one I'll type up later today. I just had to show you this picture first. I did my hair in a 70's style (loose curls & half up) and I had to make my eyes up to match. Off course I still have the blue nails... so inspiration enough.

Final eye:

Face
I started on a clean moisturized face using Dior, Dior Bronze Anti-aging Sun Cream ( Moderate Tanning ) SPF 15 to help my skin in the sun today and give it a little of a fake tan later on. After about 2 hours outside I decided to go shopping and I wanted to do a vibrant blue eye that was perfect for spring. As I'm as pale as a vampire, I had to add a little extra colour to make the spring colours pop, so I used Lancaster, Infinite Bronze Face Bronzer with 15 SPF on my face, I didn't want to wear any foundation or help with any shining, so I used only that on my skin, no primer or anything. To make me look very sunkissed I added Chanel, Bronze Universal which is a Sun illuminator, I applied this on my temples, under my cheekbones and jawline and on my nose, forehead and chin with my Sephora Brand - Professionnel Platinum Stippling Brush no. 44 which means I contoured and bronzed with this product. On my cheekbones I used a little Benefit, Moonbeam which gives a healthy glow.

Eyes
I wanted to look very fresh, and even though I didn't wake up with dark circles under my eyes, I did wanted to add a little brightning there, so I used Smashbox, Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer in no. 2 followed by powder (only under my eyes to set the concealer) with Make Up For Ever - HD Invisible Cover Foundation. As a primer on my eyelids I used Urban Decay - Primer Potion. As a base colour (keeping the shine theme going here) I used Urban Decay, Sin eyeshadow followed by a little Urban Decay, Toasted on my eyelid and under my eye using the Smashbox, no. 15 Definer Brush. I drew the blue line with Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes in Iridescent navy blue (15L) first to give the eyeshadow something to stick to and to create the perfect line (make sure you sharpen your pencil first). To deepen the blue line up I used Urban Decay - Adore on top of the liner with a small flat brush, pushing the colour into the Iridescent navy blue. To make the eyes look more awake I used the White from the Bourjois Noir & Blanc Eyeliner and topped that off with the Cream side of the Coffee & Cream Bourjois liner on my waterline. Mixing these colours makes it less harsh then the white alone. I brushed my brows into place and curled my lashes with my Shu Uemura lashcurler and coated my lashes with one coat of Diorshow, Iconic in 090 Black.

Face
I started with the Smashbox, Photo Finish Primer Light tester again, I think I can still get one usage out of this tester, so that is one tester for 5 uses. I'm still using the Too Faced, Magic Wand Illuminating foundation in no. 2 New York Light, because I haven't gotten a little of a tan yet and my Smashbox is still a little too dark for my skin now. Also AnnaLynne looks pale so I didn't want to warm up my complexion.

Eye base
The concealer I'm using daily is Smashbox, Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer in no. 2. Over this and my eyelid I patt some Smashbox, Photo Op Under Eye Brightener, if you add this over your concealer you get more of the brightning effect we all love. AnnaLynne has high brows so a lot of Highbrow is placed under my brows. If you want to have this intensified like I've got here, place one layer and blend, then put some more under the highest point of the brow and blend again.

Eyes
Just like with the Lacey Schwimmer look I want to use only two brushes namely the Smashbox no. 26 Shadow brush and the Sephora no. 12 Eyeliner brush.
I used the White from the Smashbox, Panorama Trio on my browbones and inner corners to add a little shimmer. On the eyelid I used the lighter grey from the Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette 140 Twilight. I really love this palette and to add a little more depth to the crease I used the darker grey from the same palette with the 26 Shadow brush in my crease. Try not to overblend, the line should still be visible as a line and not blended and softened away. I love this eye because it's a little tough-girl eye.

As a liner on my waterline I used the Stila, Smudge Pot in Black again (are we finding a pattern here ;) ), it was the one still next to the mirror so I grabbed that one. The liner on my lashlines is the Dior, Crayon Eyeliner Pencil in 090 Noir. For the lashes I used a Shu Uemura lashcurler I have and as a mascara I used Diorshow, Iconic in 090 Black.
